Frequently Asked Questions
1. Can your ELISA titre be converted to a count of viral particles?
The short answer is no; ELISA measures levels of specific antigens and epitopes, and there is no correlation between this and a measure of infectious particles like TCID50 or plaque assay.
However, we do measure the infectious titre of some lots prior to inactivation so a TCID50 titre is available on some products. Please inquire if this is something of interest to you.
