The Cytomegalovirus (CMV) Antigen Grade 2 preparation contains CMV antigens from all parts of the virus replication cycle, including early and late antigens, nuclear antigens, cytoplasmic antigens, and structural and non-structural proteins. The antigen is in GBS without detergent or preservative. This preparation contains residual host cellular material.
Recommended Uses
The CMV antigen should be sonicated immediately before use to ensure uniformity. This preparation may be used as is in various immunoassay formats or further purified to meet the needs of a particular assay format. This antigen is widely used for IgG and IgM detection in assays, including EIA with polystyrene and latex solid phases and M capture formats.
