Microbix’s PROCEEDx™ vaginal infection external quality controls are whole-workflow samples that simulate clinical specimens. These products are formulated with inactivated Gardnerella vaginalis, Megasphaera 1, BVAB2, Lactobacillus crispatus, Lactobacillus jensenii, Atopobium vaginae, Trichomonas vaginalis and human cells desiccated on a Copan FLOQSwab®. The bacterial vaginosis positive external quality controls have verified performance on various IVD assays, such as BD MAX™ Vaginal Panel, Cepheid Xpert® Xpress MVP assay, Seegene Novaplex™ Bacterial Vaginosis Assay (RUO) and more.
